There will be anti-Trumpcare protests today in America by INDIVISIBLE. Groups are all over America. Are you a member?

They will not let down on their protests. They KNOW Trumpcare is shelved for the moment but they also know how much the GOP HATES it and will continue to try to destroy it completely. So protests will continue at town hall meetings for the Republicans BRAVE enough to face their constituents . There are very few of them sad to say. McConnell, Ryan, Trump et al are determined to repeal the AHCA.  Come he** or high water. Despite the wishes of the MAJORITY of the American people. Clearly this obsession has nothing to do with helping the American people and everything to do with destroying everything and anything President Barack Obama accomplished. Donald John is so jealous of Obama he is livid. Poor man. He will never be loved enough to suit him or as much as he believes he deserves. SIGH

No real need for protests as the bill seems to be dead in the water now that two more senators have said they wouldn't vote for it.  Happy Tuesday, Rosie. :)

True. And the Repeal Only bill that McConnell quickly formed and tried to pass today is also dead in the water. 3  Senators said they would vote NO on that so he's done. BUT the Republicans hate Obama so much you can bet they will not let this go. It will drive them NUTS because with all the power they have they are impotent to do a dam* thing. Wait and watch. This is only temporary. I hope you're right of course but honestly Spunky I think their collective hate is much stronger than logic. Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday! :) This post was edited by RosieG at July 18, 2017 1:13 PM MDT

I'm sure you're right about them hating everything Obama enough to do something else.  I doubt this is over.  It can't possibly be with Trump as president.

Supposedly McConnell is gonna force a vote to REPEAL ONLY this week even though he doesn't have enough votes. At least that is what he pledged to do last week Spunky. This week is brand new. I wonder what it will bring? Thank you for your reply! :)

I can't, for the life of me, understand why McConnell would bring a repeal vote to the floor knowing that he will not win.  To repeal the ACA without some form of replacement would put the health care system into a death spiral.  Any republican who would vote to repeal without replacement would likely not be re-elected.

As of yesterday(Monday July  24) the vote is supposedly going to be taken today. John McCain who is dying of brain cancer is supposedly flying from Arizona to D.C. to vote. As of yesterday the senators don't know what they will be voting for since there is the House version and the 2 Senate versions. Typical cart-before-the-horse B.S. Thank you for your reply Spunky! :)

I will just refer you to my previous response that this vote is only for the purposes of debate.
