I heard it. Considering how rude Ronald Macdonald was to all his competitors, I think Cruz is the only one not being a hypocrite.

I never thought I'd be proud of any current ex-Republican candidate.  But I have to take my hat of to him for this gesture.  GO CRUZ.

Finally someone showed some BALLS.    Finally someone in that disjointed, disgruntled group of losers stood up for himself and spoke the TRUTH.    How can you ENDORSE that guy?  How CAN you?

I think most of it was ok.  But he should have made something in there about how Trump would be better than Hillary.  In this section below is where Cruz should have said something about Trump being better than Hillary Clinton.

And, to those listening, please don't stay home in November.  If you love our country, and love our children as much as you do, stand, and speak, and vote your conscience, vote for candidates up and down the ticket who you trust to defend our freedom, and to be faithful to the constitution.

Cruz certainly is not that! Further I read that he said the Trump campaign staff read the speech he planned to give IN ADVANCE so they knew what was coming. Thank you for your reply HarryD . You do know that there are zillions of Ronald McDonald's don't you? Not just one. Zillions! :)

I agree. Cruz has integrity. Who knew? He stood up for his wife and father  and didn't roll over and make nice like some of the other slimeballs did . Well they have to live with that! Thank you for your reply Sharonna and Happy Friday! :)

I heard the entire speech. Cruz said NOTHING negative about Trump. He also said NOTHING positive. He never once mentioned Trump! He wasn't going to endorse Trump. He humiliated Trump by bringing up how badly Trump treated his wife and father. He did not roll over like other slimeballs did (Chris Christie for one...Ben Carson for another). He stood up to the Bully and never once mentioned his name .  For that he got booed. Small price to pay for maintaining dignity/honor and defending your family against the insults of a  Trump. Just my opinion. Thank you for your reply m2c and Happy Friday to thee! :)

If he wasn't going to do the correct thing he should have declined to speak.

    Hello Rosie:

I don't like Cruz.. I don't like his politics or his methods..  But, I DO have a newfound respect for him.  I cannot imagine saying somebody is a con, and then supporting him later..  I cannot imagine a person saying Trump is a cancer, and then supporting him later.  Cruz didn't do any of that.. Good for him.

In a way I applaud him for sticking to his ethics and beliefs, although he also comes off as a sore loser, but he just ended his political career, which is fine by me, I don't like him.

My hat is off to Ted Cruz for making his decision not to endorse Trump (and he had a very good reason not too) and then following through with it. An act politicians from both political parties can learn from

Ditto! Word for word I agree with thee completely excon! Cruz has balls! He has integrity. He isn't a wimp who bows to power or rolls over to bullies. He prefers to defend his family rather than kiss the butt of the bully who maligned them. Good for him. Props to him!  Thank you for your reply!  :)

Cruz defended his wife and father against the insulting/demeaning/scurrilous attacks that Trump threw at him. He doesn't give a rat's a** about losing. He does have the integrity to stand up for what is right and didn't roll over and wimp out to power and kiss Trump's a** as many others did. Thank you for your reply  BSurf. Wouldn't you do the same dam* thing to defend your woman and your father against the revolting and disgusting attacks of someone no matter who that someone was? I hope you would.

Ditto RC! I totally agree with thee. I didn't like Cruz before but I like him a whole lot better now! Isn't it sad how rare integrity is among pols? Chris Christie and Ben Carson and others Trump stomped on  just rolled over and wimped out and sucked up to thea person who insulted them. Could you do that? I sure as he** could not.\Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday to thee!  :)
