Is FAMILY more important to minorities and the poor than to others? Are they more loving/devoted/tight-knit/loyal? Why do you think so?

Jewish, Italian, Mexican, Spanish, French,Middle-Eastern, Asian, African American/German/British/White English/White American families. Sure there are stereotypes floating around. But isn't there a significant amount of truth in stereotypes? Isn't that why they are so often used? Which family is thought of as straight-laced, less emotional, more concerned with what other people think of them? Why?

  • My observations indicate that Chinese and Japanese people have the strongest family ties, and Africans have the weakest family ties.
