What causes a person to flip completely and become the exact opposite of the person he/she used to be?

The new White House Communications Director, Anthony Scaramucci, supported Dems and made contributions to their campaigns, bigly badmouthed Trump and also supported gun control, same-sex marriage and abortion. He flipped totally. Was it some kind of spiritual crisis or is he just an opportunist who knows how praising Donald John Trump can open the doors to heaven for him if he plays his role convincingly? How do leopards change their spots?

    They seem like the exact same person.   Trump and he probably understand one another a lot better than you and I can understand either one of them.

    If he likes Trump?  There is something very wrong with the guy.

    1. He's a Wall Street veteran

    After graduating from Harvard Law, Scaramucci worked at Goldman Sachs before starting his own investment firm. He's written financial self-help books and even hosted his own show on Fox Business. With an estimated net worth of $1.5 billion, he's been a major Republican donor and bet on Trump early. But he's also donated to Democrats in the past, including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.


    2. He doesn't have any professional experience in politics    THIS IS WHY TRUMP PICKED HIM, MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE.

    Scaramucci has been a top defender of the president on cable news for months (it's one of the reasons Trump picked him for the job). But he doesn't have any professional communications experience. And his only political experience is as a major donor.
    3. He was stopped from getting a job at the White House before

    Trump's chief of staff, Reince Piebus, had previously blocked Scaramucci from getting another White House job as the head of the Office of Public Engagement.Scaramucci acknowledged the tension between them but said it was good-natured. "We are a little bit like brothers, where we rough each other up a little, which is totally normal for brothers."
    4. He already has a nickname and it might be better than Spicey

    No one called Spicer "Spicey" until he added his caustic brand of seasoning to the White House briefings. Scaramucci comes preloaded with one: the Mooch, a play on his Italian surname.
    5. He has criticised Trump in the past

    In 2015, he called Trump "a hack politician" and denounced his rhetoric toward women. After his appointment, he apologised for the comments. Trump "brings it up every 15 seconds," he said.     He's not a leopard Rosie. He's a chameleon. A dishonest, morally bankrupt, power hungry, opportunistic chameleon. That's why he and Trump are such a perfect match.

    It's like living in a nightmare. Will Trump just continue to do anything he damn well pleases? Has every Republican been neutered? I have my doubts that they'll say anything even if the idiot fires Mueller. It's mind boggling. I'm just hoping Mueller's smart enough to have anticipated and planned for what's coming from Trump.     Had you ever heard of him before Trump appointed him LO? At the press conference he was such a phony baloney. Of course before I saw him I had already read a few things on the internet about him that surprised me. But your description answers my question m'dear. Perfectly. Thank you for your reply LO! Wonder how long that romance will last?
