Are funerals more about honoring the dead or supporting/ respecting the survivors?

    Supporting the living and honoring the dead. Don't know how you'd quantify the two. Except in extreme cases, like throwing Hitler into the ground. Nobody's honoring him.

    I suppose so. My latest batch is trying to quantify it anyway. Maybe there is no real answer or maybe it differs based on the situation. I don't know. Thanks for your response.

  • I've been to more funerals than I care to talk about. From what I observed, it was more about supporting the survivors than it was honoring the dead.
