Where is your proof that a majority of Americans want to keep the PPACA? I haven't met anyone that does that's forced to use it, the former Medicaid "subscribers" aside.

And if they want it fixed, then that's an admission that it's broken and something needs to be done about it because it's negatively impacting far too many of those that actually work for a living.

Because how many people do you actually MEET and discuss this with?  50?   200?

How many people hate this idea?

3/4's of the USA.   And 1/3 of Congress.  That is a fact.  WAKE UP

America is not rich and America cannot afford to be thrown off their current health care. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at July 25, 2017 12:41 PM MDT

    Great!

Then provide unimpeachable proof that 3/4 of the USA is in favor of the PPACA. (And what does that mean? Does that include illegal aliens as well as legal voters?)

As to 1/3 of Congress being in favor of the PPACA . . . that means that it's dead in the water. No where near enough legislators to carry it.

But contrary to what you might think I would love to see free, unrestricted healthcare for everyone. No questions asked. But how is that going to be paid for? With over half the State healthcare insurance exchanges already belly-up I don't see any chance for the PPACA surviving irrespective of the wishes of those who want something for nothing or of Congress (but I repeat myself). The US taxpayers (otherwise know as those who actually work for a living) are pretty well tapped out.

Not now.  I have to post some more Trump pictures.  (I'm busy)  You won't read it anyway.

    I know your modus operandi.

What is this pathological obsession you have with Trump? Did you and he date at one point in time only for him to jilt you? I' pretty sure it's clinically unhealthy!

Aren't those some of the same polling organizations that "predicted" Hil-LIAR-y would win the Presidency by a landslide?

But you really need to take a look at what's being presented. Those that like the PPACA are anywhere between 51% and 58% of all those polled (we're lead to believe, it doesn't really say that). But what is the margin of error? How was the poll conducted? And who, exactly was polled? How many samples were discarded, and why? How big was the sample?

And there's a very large number of those polled that want to keep the PPACA, but also to make major changes! What's up with that? They like the name but not what's contained in the law? Well then they don't like the PPACA and the implication that they do is just "spin" from the biased polling company.

The number to look at is the one tied to how may people want to keep the PPACA just at it is. That's shy of 30% in those polls. That's what tells the real story. 70% of the people polled don't want the PPACA law to stand.

So no. It's not "conclusive" of anything other than "figures don't lie, but liars do figure".

No, McConnell is not lying. There has never been one single poll that has shown over 50% of Americans approve of AHC.

The first published poll showing majority support for the health care act came from Gallup in April this year. It even has a graph

12% approve of what McConnell is trying to shove down the throats of we the people m2c. As usual you are not focusing on the main point which exactly what I said. THE MAJORITY is not in favor of what you support. Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday.  Kudos for the try. It doesn't fly.

The polls for  the last 7 yrs have supported repeal by a 50+% ....yes since Jan this year the  polls have changed and favor has taken the lead but NO not a clear majority of  the people.  A few  (6) polls have met the  50+% threshold  to make the claim of the majority of the people.  The rest have been like oppsosed win by an average of  3% hardly  a solid clear majority.  But no need to worry about facts.

    Economist 7/23 - 7/25 45 47 Against/Oppose +2
    PPP (D) 7/14 - 7/17 43 40 For/Favor +3
    Economist 7/3 - 7/4 48 46 For/Favor +2
    FOX News 6/25 - 6/27 52 46 For/Favor +6
    NBC/WSJ 6/17 - 6/20 41 38 For/Favor +3 This post was edited by my2cents at July 28, 2017 2:58 PM MDT

Only 12% of the American people (some of whom are on this thread) approve of Trumpcare. What McConnell is trying to shove down our throats is not what we want. Thank you for your reply JakobA and Happy  Friday! :)
