If winning is everything, you don't give up. You may not get the prize in the package you wished for, but if you continue on, the qualities you are seeking will manifest. Sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly, but they will manifest if you let them.
If you are looking to be President and you lose, you will still be able to lead and rule in a different fashion if you keep your eyes on the prize.
You may just be the one that takes this evil pig down for the count. Who knows? You are still a leader, just not the leader you pictured yourself to portray.
