In VILE desperation the economy of Alaska was threatened because Senator Murkowski didn't roll over on the AHCA. Classy dame?

She ignored the threat from the TRUMP government official and stood her ground and did what was right for her state. Senator Susan Collins did the same for her state of Maine. You either think they are traitors to the Trump or heroines for doing the right thing. Either way they stood firm and won with the enormous help of Senator John McCain. The one male who also did the right thing. Amazing that more of them didn't do the right thing isn't it? Cowards all. Spineless jellyfish who masquerade as human beings. We know better. We shall remember. 2018 is very close at hand. I can hardly wait to see the repercussions from we the people..

Well lets hope they pave the way for the more cowardly members of congress who don't have a spine.   They want to see what happens when these people go against Trump before they hang themselves.

You are really irking me bigly with this lauded praise of McCain.  He is a self-promoter.  He could care less about this bill.  HE COULD CARE LESS.  He voted against it when Obama was in office.

He HATES TRUMP.  Trump insulted him and now he has nothing to lose because he is going to leave the planet soon anyway.  SO this is his dying swan song to give Trump the bird.

I give Murkowkski and Collins a lot more credit than McCain.  He has nothing to lose at this point, yet they certainly do and still stood up to Trump.  Alaska is one of the states that gets back more from the federal government than they send in, so they have a lot to lose.  There are probably a lot of citizens who need help with medical care.  Maine is probably a different story and I have no idea how much that state can be hurt by Trump's pettiness.  There was on speech that Trump made that was shown on a news clip with him saying that if they didn't pass health care, there would be consequences.  Trump has already said the budget will reduce by $4 million the amount sent to New York City which would be used by the NYPD because NYC is a sanctuary city.  I propose that we just provide $4 million less in NYPD security for the Trump Traveling Circus when they come to town.

Thank you for your fine analysis in reply to my question Spunky. California is also on the Doofus Donny hit list. We don't care. We continue to ignore him He is just another Wizard of Oz...a frightened little man hiding behind whatever he can using megaphones and loudspeakers to make us think he is big and brave and tough! We called his bluff and it seems more and more folks are doing the same thing. He is made of papier mache and one good rainstorm will dissolve him into a mushy mess. :)

New York seems to be ignoring him, too.  We should just deduct whatever Trump withholds from whatever payments the states make to the feds.
