    No, the dark side of the moon is never facing the earth, it always points away from us. Its fixed.

    A: It is dark, so we cannot see it.

    B: we are looking towards the same side of the moon as we always do. The phrase 'Dark side of the moon' usually means the side that is always turned away from the earth so we cannot see it in any case.

    The "side" of the Moon we see is "fixed" only because the Moon's own rotation matches the time of its orbit around the Earth, and as others have said, the half we see is always that even when the Moon is eclipsing the Sun.
