I'm retired; my wife works from home. (She's 7 years younger.) While we do have some separate interests that we pursue, we have become much closer in the last 2 years since I have retired. While I do enjoy the solitude when she spends the day with her sister, the grandchildren, or her friends, I am always very glad to see heer when she returns. And there are times when her absence is longer than expected, when thinking about her being absent permanently is not pleasant....
