Pie-in-sky phoney baloney or possible? Afghanistan. A for-profit war run by civilians?

Erik Prince, former Blackwater Boss, is shopping the idea of running a private for-profit war in Afghanistan that would involve 5000 private contractors, some of whom are Black Ops vets and also would provide a private civilian air force. That would take running the war out of the hands of the US military. Absurd? What would such an operation cost if it were prez-approved and Congress-approved? The administration can't seem to make up its collective "mind" what to do. Send more troops in...pull them out. Disagreement has been brewing for awhile. Would you support/approve of it?  Our troops would stop dying. What is that worth?

And the worst thing is that there actually is a chance he might get funding for that 'Venture'. He is not the only lunatic right winger like that.

You will find thinking very much like that in Heinleins book "Friday" This post was edited by JakobA the unAmerican. at September 8, 2017 7:48 AM MDT

I think the generals put a stop to that. I'm not familiar with "Friday" JakobA. I'll Google it. Thank you for your reply! :)
