  • I had bought a nutcracker from the dollar store once and after a few nutshells the nutcracker just cracked and broke in half, LoL.

    Looks like the Redneck Riviera.

    I can't think of a horrible purchase to be honest.   When  my girls were young I always fixed up baskets (or flower pots) of goodies and gifts at Easter.  I downplayed it but when they were little the gift thing is fun.  One year I had put a couple of treats in their baskets and added a few practical items and then ran to the bookstore to buy them each a book.  I looked on the clearance table and found two copies of a book about steps to stay on a Faithful and healthy life, I thought.  Easter morning my older one came into the kitchen laughing because she knew I had no idea the book was the AA 12 Step Program.  To this day we laugh about that.  But hey, the books were only $.99.
