Get rid of the party system of voting and use a Consensus Government. The reps would then be able to vote on matters in a way that would be good for the people they represent. What is a Consensus Government.. see below. https://www.assembly.gov.nt.ca/visitors/what-consensus

Happy Sunday! :) I'll click on the link right after I've posted this to you. :) I just tried to click on the link twice and couldn't access it. The message was that it had "timed out". I have no idea what that means Maurice but thanks for trying! :) I'll Google Consensus Government. :) I just got back from Googling it. WOW! Non-partisan! I LOVE the concept. I did not know it existed anywhere. Canadians are always a step ahead of us. I like it a lot but American pols would not know how to function without partisan ideologies/hates. Sadly. It is a lovely thought though. I appreciate your introducing me to it! :)

So what it amounts to is a do over every four years to satisfy the folks that don't care for the outcome of each election cycle. Continue to change the rules of the game until someone gets the desired outcome. The American political system was working fine long before we were born and will do just fine long after we're gone. Some have advocated that in lieu of the electoral college, we do an across the board referendum on everything. That'll be fine as long as we all agree that the five most populous states will call the shots with their numerical edge. Before we make the change, let me have time to move to New York, Florida or Texas so that I can be on the winning side.
What I was hoping for and what I received from Maurice was something creative and new to me. What you have given me is simple kvetching and shooting down the whole idea. Thank you for dropping by and Happy Sunday.
