Of what value is a pendulum? Its base is stationary. Its moving part goes from one extreme to the other accomplishing what exactly?

So too is society. Lots of hullabaloo at one end or the other signifying nothing useful. We are what we are and apparently will never change. Many take pride in it. Some are embarrassed by it. A few are indifferent. :(

    Foucault used a pendulum to prove the earth was spinning Foucault's Pendulum
    It is a simple experiment that you can do anywhere except on the equator ;-))
