  • I read all the time. I've read 6 books so far just this month.

I read in the morning, in the evening, before bed...I always have some time. Some days more than others, but it's a top priority for me. I can't imagine being so busy that I wouldn't have time to read.

Rump doesn't really have time to read because his jaw is jacking.

No I really don't make the time. I read articles on the internet. But not many books.

I used to read voraciously Uc. But I have had several eye surgeries  and have an intraocular lens implant in one eye. I can see distances well. With glasses. I read without glasses but only one eye really works and I always have a magnifying glass at hand which somewhat diminishes the pleasure. To be honest I mostly scan magazines and newspapers. When I am reading a book I don't scan though  I used to be a speedy reader but I have slowed down a lot. But you're right. You make time. When I saw that  Trump quote that reminded me of the mess  Sarah Palin got herself in when she couldn't cone up with the name of a single publication she read. I don't know if you remember the Katie Couric interview when Katie asked for specific titles/publications Sarah said " I read all of them!"  I thought that was a really classic line and I never forgot it. "I read all of them"! Boy did we ever dodge a bullet with her. Thank you for your reply! :)

Beats me  Sharonna! It reminded of the Katie Couric interview with Sarah Palin who could not come up the name of  single publication she read regularly.  When pressed by Katie to be specific Sarah said "I read all of them"! Remember that? AARRGGHH! Thank you for your reply! :)

You are not a candidate for President of the United States m2c. A President has got to read a lot to know what the he** is going on. He has daily briefings. He works long into the night reading reports. A president who admits he doesn't have time to read is not comforting to me. Thank you for your reply and Happy Sunday! :)

And YOU are not a candidate for president of the United States Nevan. The prez has daily briefings. He has tons of reports he has to read to know what is going on. A president who doesn't have time to read scares the bejesus outta me. Thank you for your reply and Happy Sunday! :)

I read every day.  I use the time on the bus back and forth to work, and before I go to sleep every night.  I'm frantic if I don't have at least one unread book in the house when I'm coming to the end of whatever I'm currently reading.

  • Trump probably means like books as purely relaxation time. If you were president or in a busy social public life.. would you have the relaxation time to read and/or do anything you want? I don't think so.

I mean I can always go another way and answer your question by pulling a Hillary... the only language liberals speak:

‘What difference, at this point, does it make?’ -- during the hearings of Benghazi.

Some folks brag about not reading. Not interested. So when they come up with a multitude of  non-truths that they pick up from others who are like-minded you can clearly see the price they pay for ignorance. Only problem is they don't know how ignorant they are. They think those who disagree with them are the problem. They don't realize they are the problem. An ignorant electorate is not the best vehicle to drive to get a good leader. Thank you for your reply Spunky! :)
