Why is it difficult for America to condemn its savage past when other nations condemned theirs long ago?

Does condemnation of past crimes rebuke privileges enjoyed now as a result of them?

    Past????  I think, seriously, that that's one of the reasons they don't like to.. because there is a lot still going on, certainly in recent history..
