    Other than filling out my profile and agreeing to the ToS, the first question I answered from a member was someone asking if her boyfriend was pregnant. I responded that  we needed a urine sample to determine that and she should have him pee on her computer.

    In 2009 I did a search engine query to find something, I don't remember what.  I didn't find it but one of the results was a question about saving money and, being the thrifty person I am, I clicked on it.  There I was on the Answerbag site having the perfect answer so I registered as Thrifty (which was already taken) and then as Thriftymaid which came to mind as there was a can of the Winn-Dixie store brand (Thrifty Maid) vegetables on my counter in plain sight at that moment.   I did provide my thrifty solution to the question.  I have been on AB and then here many many times since that day.
