Stating that there are 917 hate groups in the US doesn't give the individual groups the publicity they seek. I will. Interested?

This comes from the SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center)

There are 99 neo-Nazi groups
130 KKK outposts
43 neo-Confederate groups
78 racist skinhead groups
100 white nationalist groups

And the balance is made up of  anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, Christian identity (seriously there is a HATE group by that name) and other assorted and sundry hate groups. There. Now you know them by name. They deserve the fame. The anonymity of numbers can be disappointing for those who are so desirous of being special, of standing out, being noticed.
