  • My mother's older sister claimed she saw many ghosts in her hone. My brother and I stayed with her some for many years, and he claimed he also saw ghosts there. One was me. I was across the country when it occurred. Once, my brother and I both were at her home a few days. One night about 3:00, my brother came into my bedroom and told me that there was a female ghost in his bedroom. I went to see it, and he stayed in my bedroom. When I entered the room, there did seem to be a woman with her feet about 15" above the floor. There was a halo of light around her head. My brother's reaction was to flee and tell he saw a ghost. Mine was to approach the thing and inspect it closely. When I did, I saw that it was an illusion was created by a car's headlights shining through a window across from the thing. The woman's body was wallpaper stained by a leaking roof, and the head was a scenic calendar. My mother and some of her relatives said her family home was haunted. Even when I was a child, I did not fear ghosts. One night, Mom returned to the living room from a visit to the kitchen and said she saw a big ghost in the back yard. I was  a small boy, but I ran to the kitchen and looked out the window. I saw a large white figure moving about in the back yard under a maple tree. I walked to the back door, and my mother told me to stay inside, but I went out and approached the "ghost". It was dark under the large tree, so I saw only a large and vague white shape. I approached closer, and it came to me. I saw it was a stray white horse with a sheet on its back that came from an outdoor clothes line nearby. Another "ghost" was a large stray white hog. One was a sheet on a road sign that a prankster had evidently placed.

  • Da, alleged "Ghosts" are always normal things, illusions, delusions and hoaxes.

  • Oh Yes, I certainly would. I always knew ghosts aren't real. When I was a Christian, I knew that some saints said that dead people stay in their graves until Judgment Day. As a science student, I know that scientists have never found any convincing evidence that ghosts are real.

Too scary. Every time I do there is an element of something weird that does not want me there. Was during the day actually I entered an old abandoned farm house;  I don't know if it even had a reputation of being haunted. I did go back a second time later but I just bad a very strong feeling that I should get out. Did not see or hear anything. Was no indication of anyone staying there.
