You go to a restaurant and order something. You get something else because that's what the chef wanted to cook. Do you go back?

You buy furniture and when it's delivered it wasn't what you ordered at all. You got what the store wanted to sell you and didn't care what you wanted or ordered. Now why do some folks think it's okay to ignore what YOU ask for and provide you with whatever it is they prefer at that moment?

    Unbridled power.
    Because they CAN.

I didn't think he knew such a big word as 'striven."  Too bad he hasn't reached that goal.

WE do, but him?  He can barely string two multi-syllabic words together

You are totally right, Spunky.  I thought Rosie said it.  Donald TRUMP said that?  Then I must be out of my head for defending that idiot, I didn't look close enough at the question.

    You're right.  Trump sucks.

I don't believe that has ever happened to me.  I may not have gotten it cooked the way I wanted, but never a completely different dish.

Here's what I'm really asking Spunky. I ask specific questions. Some folks show up wanting to talk about other things and so they do. They ignore my question and go on a riff rant of their own choosing. Most folks don't do that at all. If the question appeals to them they answer it. If not they ignore. They don't use it as a springboard to other things more to their liking! Thank you for your reply m'dear! :) This post was edited by RosieG at August 21, 2017 9:58 AM MDT

Many times the answer is relevance to the question just from a different perspective.

    My answers are always relevant.
Why would different perspective not be valid?

Since my choice of restaurants includes Wendy's,  Burger King, and McDonalds,  the 'chef' will make it my way.

    Maybe.
Depends on if I liked it or not.

But I won't pay for it, either way.
No matter how much I may enjoy it ... it wasn't what I ordered.
