  • Meh, I think that game is only for people who smell like ben gay, drive with their nose touching steering wheel and eat 11 butterscotch hard candies a day.... Zed's dead.

  • "Me! Me! Me!" ... well, i used to. It's been a while. I used to make my own cribbage boards.
Main board was plexiglas, inlaid into a wooden base with felt (usually black) in between
the board and the base ... so the holes showed-up better. Looked a lot like the picture below.

    15 - 2, 4 and eight's a doz!  :)

Wow, omg! Though I truly hate cribbage, the fact that you made your own boards is so cool!

  • Thanks ... it was fun to do.  Being a machinist has some perks. :)

Did you ever sell any? Or were they all for personal enjoyment? :)

  • No, I didn't sell them.  I made about a dozen and gave them to friends, except for the two I still have.
One of the two ... instead of holes, deep enough for the pegs, I just cut an indentation deep enough to hold a sequin.
Then the three rows were filled with colored sequin ... a red row, a white row and a blue row. That board hangs on the wall.

I truly admire people like you with that kind of skill. So jealous. That sounds absolutely beautiful!

  • Thanks, mk1217.  It was a learned skill that has proved handy over the years. :)

I sort of know how to play, but I usually avoided it during family get togethers to head for the wine instead. ;) It's very popular in my family still! Definitely my grandpa's game.

    Glis?

No.  Glis.  THIS is a dead game, right here.

I got your 'Muggins' right here. Yes, I used to play a lot but my wife is not bright enough to learn how.

  • It's pretty simple game but some reason people have a hard time grasping the rules.
