Anyone here remember Jay Thomas?



Best known for his roles in the classic sitcoms "Murphy Brown" and "Cheers," he died yesterday at age 69.

    Just gets a little creepy. People who were around on the shows I watched growing up and in younger adulthood are passing away. I don't like getting closer to the front of the line!    :-(

  • His face looks familiar for me but I'm not remembering him... I know show "cheers" though. I used to think 69 was old as faak' but as I approch 40 it's not so old. died too young then:/

    I didn't recall him by name, but when I saw his photo, I knew right away who he was.  That seems to be the third death Rosie spoke about - Dick Gregory, Jerry Lewis and now Jay Thomas.

    This got me curious. Glen Campbell also died in August and Sam Shepard passed at the end of July.

    I think I was unfamiliar with all of his work. I looked up an article on him and I haven't regularly watched any of his shows that were mentioned in the article.
