I am the youngest of nine children. My parents were married till death departed them.

They still played together even after I was in my teens and till my Father's death.

  • So nice to hear your story, Deaves.

For how many years were they happy together?

  • It's indeed very sad when parents take their issues and grievances out on the children. But you really mustn't let their marriage problems affect your own self-worth. I'm sure, given some determination and a little support from someone you love and trust, you can work your way out of the rut.

No.  My parents were married two years before I came along.  My parents were married 69 years when my dad passed away.  They came from a different era than me.  I would not have been happy in a marriage like theirs.

I was born a couple of years after my parents were married.  They had a very

    happy marriage.

  • 69 years! Wow! Yes, they did come from a different era!

My parents are their 46th year of togetherness.
