If I like it less and less, the sentimental reasons are gone.

Depends on what 'it' is. I gave almost all of my coin collections to my son and daughter, as well as my fossil collection. I no longer had a use for them and  they have no sentimental value.

What caused you to become a collector in the first place Ele? I collected unicorns in all their iterations. Books, figurines, pictures, jewelry. I wear one on a chain that my son gave me when I turned 40! As I'm almost 80 that is half my life!. My sister even painted several for me and I framed one of them and the other canvases I treasure. I was never interested in collecting coins or stamps for some reason. Fossils would be fun because you'd have to go out on "digs". Digging up our past to see where we came from. But you get dirty doing that so I wouldn't get too involved. That's why I dislike camping. I'm okay during the day but at night I want a shower and clean bed and NO BUGS! Thank you for your reply! :)
