Do hurricanes birth tornadoes and tropical storms and are in some ways mothers of them all?

    Tropical storms MAY turn into hurricanes and both MAY create tornadoes. But tornadoes can be created far away from both. The conditions for tornado formation are quite complex but they do need the following conditions: Warm moisture-laden low pressure front colliding with a cooler high pressure system.

    Hurricanes are tropical storms first.....it has to do with wind speed.  Tornadoes are often spun off of hurricanes but tornadoes do not need a hurricane to be born.
