A couple of mandatory jokes here: Four Trek redshirts get into a fight with four Imperial stormtroopers. The stormtroopers miss every shot. The redshirts die anyway.
There was going to be a spinoff series featuring a retired McCoy owning an orchard and moonlighting as a detective, a la Dick van Dyke in Diagnosis: Murder. Unfortunately due to McCoy's tan the orchard scenes couldn't be shot - you couldn't see DeForrest for the trees.
