The "BIRTHER MOVEMENT" was just described as a RACIST HOAX. When Donald John PROMOTED it was that the first dog whistle White Racists heard?

From 2011 Donald John was at the forefront. Said he sent investigators to Hawaii and oh the stories they were going to tell us. We are still waiting though he subsequently said in 2016 that Obama WAS an American Citizen. Of course the racist base doesn't believe it. He doesn't either. He does what he is told when he realizes he has no choice. But underneath it all is that bad little boy who keeps stealing cookies and pulling wings off butterflies. He kept the lie alive for 5 years. Stoking the hopes of white racists that he was their guy and giving joyful encouragement  to them that maybe one day they could come out from under their rocks and march proudly as WHITE RACISTS. That long ago. Who noticed the rantings of an unstable reality show clown? His voter base did. They paid attention. :(

  • Actually it was Hillary Clinton and her campaign which started the birther movement. You seem extremely factually challenged.

Though it’s true that the specific allegation that Obama wasn’t born in the U.S. first reared its head during the 2008 presidential race, rumblings about Obama’s “otherness” had been percolating since long before that. In 2004, a political gadfly named Andy Martin issued a press release calling Barack Obama a “complete fraud” who had “misrepresented his heritage” in his memoir, Dreams From My Father, and “is a Muslim who has concealed his religion.” The theme was pushed further in December 2006 by conservative columnist Debbie Schlussel, who published an article entitled “Barack Hussein Obama: Once a Muslim, Always a Muslim,” which stated that “Obama has a ‘born-again’ affinity for the nation of his Muslim father, Kenya.” In March 2007, Clinton campaign strategist Mark Penn proposed attacking Obama on the basis of his “lack of American roots.” And, in December 2007, a Clinton volunteer county coordinator in Iowa was fired for forwarding an e-mail making the by-then familiar claim that Obama is a Muslim.     Snopes.com

I think it was more "attack the Democrats" rather than attack any certain non-white tribe.

You did? Not me. Different strokes. Doofus Donny's racism shined brightly then and shines even more brightly now that he has the power to implement it legally. Thank you for your reply Shar.

    You're confused again.

It was Hil-LIAR-y Clinton that started that "rumor".
