Society. Though as to what specific changes are needed and what would actually benefit most people's lives, we all seem to disagree on that and thus most of the time, nothing changes at all. But I think having something to want to change fuels people's lives. Kind of like how wishing for something is more fulfilling than actually getting what you wished for. Once you get it, it's underwhelming and you're onto the next desire. Nothing will ever be good enough for some people. And that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Society needs to be in a constant state of needing to change otherwise it can't function. A Pax Romana goes before a fall.

It never changes somehow? The system you live under has been in effect for hundreds of years for the sole benefit of those who sit at top, trickling down to their communities and bloodline descendants. They consciously have an interest in maintaining what they say to you should change. The benefactors of this unjust system have a subconscious interest in not changing it for hopes they too will be on top and accept anything that gives them an edge towards that goal. The disenfranchised are meant to stay that way as a population to be exploited. Change can occur when the disenfranchised ween themselves from those keeping them that way. As Jehovah God commanded "Come out of Babylon" which is more than just physical.
