  • I really don't celebrate my birthday much because I don't like being told what to do by society so I celebrate every other day of the year instead.

If someone has a cake for me on my birthday I'll eat it, but that's it.
Also if someone gave me presents I would except those, but that's all and if anyone threw me a party I would go to that, but otherwise I'm against birthday celebrations.
I want to have fun everyday.

  • Good for you!

I'm pretty much a private person and don't like really loud gatherings or too many parties. But, I like preparing a party for others, if that makes any sense.

  • It makes sense.
Sounds like you're a thoughtful person who gets joy from giving to others. : )

Welcome to Answermug by the way.
Are you new here or am I too new to recognize you?

Lol.... so you don't like being told what to do by society and you're against birthday celebrations but you'd go to your party, accept your presents and eat your cake. WAY TO TAKE A STAND MAN!!    ;-)

  • I would go and accept the gifts and say "Aww..you didn't have to get me anything."

See, I tell it like it is.

I'd still enjoy the gifts, but not for the reasons society wants me to. : )

  • Sorry, I'm just in a silly mood today.
I'm not sure what I'm talking about either, but I try to celebrate other people's birthdays.

I'm 48 years old and my family has only celebrated my birthday one time. I was 7 years old at the time. Celebrations of this type only serve to piss me off. This post was edited by Zack at September 6, 2017 6:58 PM MDT

No, I don't love or hate it.  I honestly usually forget it until someone reminds me in one way or another.

The ones that end in 5s and 0s are special.  The ones in between are like any other day of the year.
