Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» If true that only 12% of the Voting public is Anti-DACA there is no controvery. DACA rules and the anti-DACA folks LOSE. Right?
I am pro-DACA. But there are things that need to be done first. So we don't have to do it again and again. And there are restrictions that need be applied.
I'm totally in agreement with that m2c. Massaging it to make it better. What is wrong with that? But killing it outright? That would be evil and I think those who did that would regret it to their dying day. They would pay a very big price for their hatred. Eternal dam*ation! I know. Very dramatic. But I am very serious. "What you do to the least of mine you do to me". I believe that is true and you seem to too. Thank you for your reply m2c! :)
I understand your point and I certainly have compassion for people in this dilemma. We might ask though, where does all of it end? If we make exceptions here, certainly we should consider doing the same for everyone in other circumstances where federal law applies. Either we regulate immigration or we don't. It doesn't matter to me but if we bend the law, we bend it for all whether it's immigration or some other situation. We've already eliminated the restriction to illegal voting in Maryland (College Park)and other places in the country. It's evident now that naturalized citizenship isn't worth the paper it's written on. Also Rosie, don't be so quick to condemn people to eternal damnation. People who have done worse things in this life found grace and mercy and are in the safe keeping of the Lord. I think that it was Jesus who said: Render unto Caesar those things which are Caesar's and unto God those things which are God's.
Yes, I agree. We gotta secure the border first. They cannot be criminals. Must graduate high school or join military. They cannot use their new citizenship status to get their parents and other family members citizenship. Perhaps legal status again if not criminals (after crossing the border) but not used to bring more in.
