"GREED IS GOOD". Famous words uttered in some movie starring Michael Douglas. He sold it to others. Did he sell it to you?

The problem with words like greed is that they come with a lot of luggage attached.
"Greed" suggest somebody like Disney 'Unles Scrooge" who still have and treasure the first dime he ever made :-))

Try calling it "Econonomicaly minded" instead. it means the same, but it points us at very different stereotypes, are we still talking about greed when the maternal figure gets angry over a piece of bread dropped butter-side down? Isnt being economical a good thing?

The differences are often very hard to see.

That is like putting liptstick on a pig JacobA. I think you know that. Calling a greedy person "economically minded" reflects very poorly on those who are on very tight budgets and have to be extremely careful when and where and how they spend the little money they have. I am "economically minded" as were my folks. I have never had a check bounce or a creditor repossess anything. My credit is excellent due to my always spending within my means. I am also very generous with what I have. I always have been. That's how I was  raised by my parents. To share what I had and not be "greedy". You can use whatever window dressing you like to make it prettier or whatever herbs and spices you want to make it more palatable. A pig is still a pig with or without makeup! Thank you for your reply m'dear! :)
