I'm a slacker when it comes to dusting and vacuuming but other than that, everything is super neat and organized. My OCD demands it.

    Sounds like a nice compromise.

Don't tidy up on my account.

  • Actually I vacuumed yesterday and did the dishes and my son just took my cue and he cleaned up his toys, cleaned off the table and straightened up his room.
I was very proud of him.
I didn't even have to ask him to do it so my place is feeling kinda nice because it's actually clean and organized for today, LoL! This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at September 20, 2017 3:09 PM MDT

Kitchen and bathroom are always spotless, but I can' say the same for bedroom and living room.  Someone once sent me a plaque that says "Housework makes you ugly," so I do it sparingly.

A friend of mine has a plaque in her house that said "Boring women have clean houses."  That may be true but I like mine clean. :)

I keep it fairly clean and organized aside from the cobwebs. I kinda like the spooky cobweb look. It looks great with my antiques.

Cobwebs also catch the occasional fly so you don't have to swat them.

As long as you don't depend on too much Febreeze.

They act like that stuff is some magic cleaner that cleanses the house with a spray.  UGH.

And that stuff does not smell good.

  • No problem. I had to stop using that stuff ... it was seriously affecting the cockroach reproduction cycle. :)

It's way too clean, nearly sterile. Have to find some germs to invade it. I had already planned to ask, How can I keep my house from looking too sterile?

I generally keep it quite clean and neat.  Right now, while not particularly dirty, it still has the lanai furniture in the middle of the living room.  I thought I would just leave it there and see where Maria was heading.

You might as well wait until hurricane season is completely behind us.

You could eat off my floor, but you probably shouldn't.

Sometimes you can eat off my floor kitchen too. There's enough food stuck to it.

I guess I should have specified the inside of your house. Or did you leave the windows open?
