Different strokes. When you see a pile of sh** do you walk right through it or try to avoid it? Why?

I s'pose it takes all kinds. Some people are driven to seek the dark, the ugly, the smelly, the harmful. Others try to avoid all of that and will walk around it if given the opportunity. What causes some people to enjoy toilet humor, bodily functions, grime and slime and the non-sublime? What is the lure that keeps them going back to it and insisting that others join them in frolicking about in it?

I try to avoid it unless I must go through it. Sort of like the time someone clogged the toilet and it over flowed when I tried to flush it and the plunger did not good. Since I already had poopy water all up on my hands and feet, I decided to just shove my hand down the toilet and dislodge whatever it was that way. I was already gross and dirty so it didn't matter anymore. I took a long hot shower after I got the mess cleaned up though. That was nasty.

Well I had someone actually chastise me for purposely avoiding sh**! Honestly how weird is that? I'm not a fan of it so I avoid it just as I avoid people who aren't my cuppa tea. Why should I put myself through an experience I know IN ADVANCE I won't like? Thank you for your reply Patch! Sometimes you can't avoid it but you can wear rubber boots. Sometimes you can't avoid nasty/yucky. So you deal with it. But you prepare for it. Thank you for your reply m'dear! :) This post was edited by RosieG at September 21, 2017 5:35 AM MDT
