The inspiration for this question is the huge deal The Donald John has chosen to make about some athletes "disrespecting the flag". Well they were simply engaging in their right to peaceful protest. That is the backstory to this question but it is not limited to this situation. Some folks thrive on exacerbating any situation they can hoping to make things much much much worse. They get kicks out of it I guess.  Are they so barren and empty of substance this is all they got?

    The newsmedia does this all
the time. It "sells papers" as the old saying goes. As repugnant as he is, Trump isn't even the best at it. People can and too frequently do twist and inflate their own perceptions of slights and wrongheaded-ness into huge controversies, to suit their purposes. I wonder if there could be a way to quantify that? What does it cost to expend time, money, energy into such a goal? It costs truth. That's the first victim. That becomes "normal". Doing that. What I don't understand is that it is so transparent it should NEVER be believed. You don't have to be genius to recognize it yet some folks eat it up, absorb it, promulgate it, thrive on it. I don't get it Don. Thank you for your reply! They used to call it "Yellow Journalism".  D'ya think there is as much of it as there used to be? I'm not talking about the crappers like Breitbart and Alex Jones and Fox News. We know they're full of it. I mean mainstream media. Are they as bad? Thank you for your reply! :)

One man's sh-- is another man's fertile garden. I pay money to buy fertilizer. It makes things grow better.
