We have gun laws already. We enforce them. What law proposed would have prevented this shooting? The travel ban and new stronger vetting measures may have prevented the San Bernardino shooting because the wife involved would not have passed the new security measures. She was posting terrorist support on social media which the gov was not allowed to look at before they permited her in the country. That is the difference.
