Do you believe in the concept of a Lucky Penny?

I always repeat that old expression, if I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.  Do you have the same problem?  Do you believe if you pick up a penny from the ground, heads side up, you'll have good luck for the rest of the day?  Has that actually happened to you?  

Tell us a story about yourself in which LUCK has played a pivotal role in your life.  (If it involves pennies, all the better!).

  • "No"  I'd heard it, except for the "heads side up" part, when I was a kid, but never put much faith in it.

    I'm standing by the check-out counter, in a restaurant, and a young African-American man approached the counter.  As he did, I noticed a penny on the floor and said, "Oh look, a penny!"  He got very hostile thinking that I wanted him to demean himself by picking it up.

    After talking my way out of a boxing match, neither one of us picked up that UNLUCKY PENNY!!  :))

    I dont want to jinx it, but ive been extremely lucky all my life. Nothing magic, just happened to fall on my lap. I even read it in my natal horoscope, and it seemed to pan out. I pick up pennies heads up, all day long ill have good luck. Dont know if it actually works because im already extremely lucky though.

    Actually Harry, i always pick up money when I see it on ground, once I got  a $50 note I think, I took it and put in a offering box in a place of worship. During my recent visit to New Jersey, my brother dropped me in airport, I was standing with my neice( she's born and brought up in US) I saw that a lot of coins were scattered on the ground, I stooped to pick them all and my niece was pulling me away saying stop it...STOP IT...but I didn't because in childhood we were taught to pick up money if we found it on ground, return it to the owner ...but if unable to locate..then put it as offering in a house of worship;)))
