You can verify the presence of something. How do you verify the absence of info unless you have copies of what was deleted?

ALLEGEDLY da prez and his cronies remove info from the internet that it doesn't like. ALLEGEDLY it tells scientists what they can and cannot share with the public. ALLEGEDLY they censor things to make themselves look good and withhold from we the people any uncomfortable truth. IF ALLEGEDLY is true do you approve or dis? Should govenments and presidents withhold all information that isn't flattering to them? Do they have that right or is it criminal and abhorrent and ugly. Your take?
