The Donald John TOOK AN OATH to preserve and protect the Constitution. Yesterday he suggested revoking broadcast licenses. Did he RECANT?

Per Republican Senator Ben Sasse, Nebraska, he has asked The Donald John if he recanted the oath he took when he was inaugurated prez?  The absurd suggestion that the First Amendment rights do not belong to the Press is not only ignorant it is stupid and deranged. The 25th amendment may need to be invoked. Either that or impeachment. Lest any toadie lemming hack say "he was just joking" save it . He was serious. If that doesn't anger/horrify you what will?

You overstate your case. It has nothing to do with the constitution. A license is by definition permission from the government to do something that is normally illegal. Broadcasting is a privilege granted by the state, not a right, so the constitution doesn't apply. They'd still be free to peddle their bullsh*t on other platforms.

I think that such tactics are not the right way to go in countering fake news in the mainstream media. It sets a dangerous precedent that could be used against right wing talk radio etc in the future.

It would be better for us to fight the mega corporate interests, and the leftist pawns they control, in the free market of ideas. This post was edited by Zeitgeist at October 13, 2017 7:09 AM MDT
