One can as long as one wishes. They might end up friendless and lonely as everyone will get tired of listening to them. My brother blamed his whole wretched life on others and all it got him was jail time, constantly high and drunk and his ultimate demise at 60.

Until they're 30.  Then the time has come to put away what was and focus and what is and what can be as your life is truly your own at that point.

  • Unfortunately, I've met some who've simply never outgrown it. I'd guess it's never occurred to them that it's possible.

I would never accept it as a reason.

My dad is 93.  I am 66.  His extreme favoritism toward the children and grandchildren by my step-mother, his second wife, still irks me but I don't think it is changing my behavior. This post was edited by CallMeIshmael at October 16, 2017 9:22 PM MDT
