If someone said I had called the prez an insulting name and I hadn't I'd make a big deal out of it. Wouldn't you?
I would INSIST on finding out who LIED. I certainly would not simply avoid answering the question. I would be furious about being lied about and I would not let it go until the liar was outed. What would you do if you were innocent too?
My take on this is that, if Tillerson responds to this allegation, he is opening the door to having to answer to every petty leak, true or not. I agree with him refusing to engage on the subject.
I disagree totally, emphatically, absolutely with thee m2c. I would fight like he** to tell the truth. I don't let people lie about me or walk all over me without a fight. Unless, of course, I am unaware of it . You can't care about or do anything about what you don't know about. But this is becoming HUGE . If he didn't say it why doesn't he say so? He is desperately trying to deflect it when all he had to do days ago was say "I never said it" or " I said it and I regret it". What would YOU do? Keep deflecting? That gives it life and will never put it to rest. What I'd do and what you'd do are not the same thing. Hopefully we will never be in a position to find out how we'd react or what we'd say. I disagree. His refusal to answer is what is driving the story m2c. In my opinion. Thank you for your reply. Would YOU let slide lies about you if you knew about it? Why?
You don't believe it would be a bigger story of he said he called Trump a moron. The media would love it and would never let it go causing farther issues for Trump and Tillerson.
If people want to throw mud on you they are going to do it whatever. Unless you ignore it you end up just playing their game their way - which is what they want anyway. If you want to have integrity you have to be above such goings-on.
If you don't defend yourself it looks like you are either rolling over because you are a coward or the lies are true. Neither one of those appeals to me officegirl. Thank you for your reply! :)
To whom? Always having to be defensive and prove yourself not a "coward" sounds like a horrible way to have to live! People will believe what they want about you whatever.
So, Rosie, if someone posted something unflattering about you in response to one of your questions and you ignored it, does that make it true? We already know that you're not a coward.
