Can you laugh holding your breath? Suppose snorkle diving 30 foot depth, see something so funny; could laughter underwater cause drowning?

Sometimes snorklers have been found lifeless -no known cause.

I don't think you can snorkel at 30 feet.   You have to stay close to the surface of the water so water doesn't get into y our mask.

I'very never done much snorkle diving but lots of scuba diving; you can equalize pressure as you descend so water should  not enter your mask.

Your question is about snorkeling, not scuba diving.  Yes, I'm aware about scuba diving.

Any kind of diving takes a good bit of discipline, any snokel diver (is that really a category?) would know when to breathe and when not to breathe. anyway, 30 feet is not much, no risk of 'the bends' if you just swim up to the surface.
