I liked Clinton's speech about his wife's early accomplishments. I didn't know about any of it. Some folks knocked him for referring to her as a "girl" when they first met. Wasn't she?

I dunno. A few "analysts" said they didn't like the first half of Clinton's speech because he seemed to be referring to his wife in terns they thought were not reverential enough. They were females. I wonder if any guys felt that way? I didn't feel insulted at all and I'm a gal. An old gal to be sure but I found nothing offensive there so I thought the criticism wasn't deserved. I enjoyed learning about her early years and all the things she was involved in and accomplished before anyone anywhere knew who she was. Some apparently didn't appreciate it.  Different strokes.

Did he talk about her "genius" in taking her first bar exam? You know the one where 69 percent of people who took that DC bar exam passed, yet that great "genius" Hillary failed. She had to go to Arkansas to pass....

Bill Clinton is not a moral person.

I did not hear anyone complain about the use of the word "girl". Of course I watch FOX. I don't know what channel you were watching.
I did find it interesting that he left out Hillary's time at Wal-Mart. When Wal-Mart crushed the movement for unionizing the workers. She was on the board from 1986-1992

She was 24 when they fell in love. I don't think derogatory to call her a girl. I am still a 65 year old boy.

Why would he put any of that into a speech? I think the opponents have tried to make as much out of it as they can. Where were the talks about Trump and his financial failures in the speech from Melania? What's your logic?

He was giving a historical review of what Clinton has done in her life. Walmart is 6 yrs of that life. She didn't help the workers, she didn't help the women. You would think there would have been something he could have pointed to and claimed Hillary made it better for the workers there.
Melania did not give a point by point year by year breakdown of Trump's career.

I think she did several other things in that period than just being board member of one company? Again, I don't follow the logic. If Melania wanted to show what kind of a family man Trump is, why didn't she talk about all his divorces? Well, that will be my 2 cents. We can keep it up with new examples back and forth, doesn't change my view that your logic in this case is rather sought for in my eyes. I wish you a lovely day.

    Bill Clinton's speech was clear.

    He didn't copy it.

He made statements backed by facts.   Hilary was a GIRL.  She was not born in a Givenchy Suit size 18.

Is this directed at me SH? I learned a great deal about the early Hillary that I did not know and I found that to be very helpful to me. I think he was attempting to show a side of Hillary that other's don't know about it. I think the more info we can learn the better it is. However I do realize when a spouse is doing the talking you kinda hafta take it with a grain of salt. But still I liked it. Thank you for your reply! :)

All you see are beauty marks when you look at Trump and warts when you look at Hillary m2c. You are not fair in any of your conversations because you never once have addressed all the terrible things your candidate has  said. Not once! You just ignore and accept and move on. But Hillary? You examine every pore to find dirt .  He says he knows more than generals about ISIS. He lies. He says the world is a mess and he alone can fix it. He lies. He calls women fat pigs and you shrug it off. He makes fun of a disabled reporter and you shrug it off. He commits treason by inviting a foreign power to hack  American emails and you shrug it off.  He wants America to be an isolationist power and you shrug it off. He wants to discriminate against an entire religion and you shrug it off., What if it were YOUR religion that was being discriminated against? Have you ever once put yourself in the place of one of his targets? How would YOU feel? But you cannot do that. You will not do that. You DARE NOT do that. You refuse to deal with what he is because you are so busy examining Hillary under a microscope. Trump is the anti-Christ/the BEAST  of which you spoke who promises peace and safety and only he can do it. And YOU believe him and cannot see what it is you are supporting. I am perplexed but accept it. Thank you for your reply.,

I'm 78 and sometimes I'm still a "girl" and I would never be offended by being referred to as such. But ya know some folks are always looking for a way to criticize. I betcha some folks are so good at it they can criticize anyone at any time for anything without guilt! Go figger! Thank you for your reply Ele!  :)
