If she were my sister, I would already know based on a lifetime of history if she is trustworthy. So my opinion would be based on know history. I have a couple of cousins who I would not believe of they accused someone of such an act. Because I know their history and they lie a lot.

Why do you say 'Fox was stupid for letting him go'? The man is an idiot who does not even know why the tides go in and the tides go out, I'm sure even Fox demands a higher level of intelligence in their 'on camera' staff than that.
You mention that one woman made a false police report, was that report to do with Bill O'Reilly? Even if it was then that is one down, only another ten to go.

Though your response is in reply to m2c I thought I'd drop by to voice my thoughts. That's precisely how the wealthy powerful creepy old disgusting sex perverts like O'Reilly got away with it for years. People defending them against the charges.  Same thing with Roger Ailes,  Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, and Donald John Trump. Just the tip of the iceberg. There are quite likely MILLIONS more out there doing the same things! It is their  great good fortune to have people defending them so enthusiastically and viciously. That is how they got away with it for so long. Attacking the victims is a tired old ploy but it is used vigorously by apologists.  Why that is puzzles me. Why women prefer to attack other women rather than believe them saddens me. It is what it is . Thank you for your reply! :) This post was edited by RosieG at October 24, 2017 3:00 PM MDT

Ratings. With OReilly gone Fox was actually loosing some time slots to MSNBC. They have moved around times and that is no longer the case but ratings are certainly not as they were before.
I am not aware of the quote your speaking of about the tides.  But everyone misspeaks, no one believes President Obama thinks there are 52 states.

It was 58 States. And speak for yourself.  I really do think he believed that. I mean anyone that is so opaque that they think that it's the United States Marine Corpse . . .

It is not only ratings they lost, nearly 50 advertisers/sponsors have withdrawn from anything to do with oreilly and that hits where it hurts. Only a pity that it could effect oreilly's ability to continue buying off the victims.

Of course he had an explanation, just as about nearly every 4th grader has, he was simply dumbfounded by the stupidity of the statement, just look at his face as oreilly was saying that.

You would think Silverman would have jumped at the opportunity to make O'Reilly look ignorant....I know if I had been in his place I would have definately  took advantage of that one.

Absolutely no need to make oreilly look ignorant, he was doing such a good job of it himself.

I saw a clip on The Late Show last night of Bill O'Reilly explaining how this entire thing was God's fault.

I never watched him because he always seemed to me so cold and forbidding.  Tacky - yes.  Doesn't anyone believe in working for a living any longer?  Who is the real victim here?
