Discussion»Questions»Life and Society» Sadly TRUTH isn't always beautiful and LIES aren't always ugly. Going by the "appearance" of something can be dangerous. Can't it?
Proverbs 12:22 "Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight."
No, truth isn't always beautiful but it is necessary for all involved. You may not have the freedom to do whatever you want. But you can do something. So start with telling the truth and build upon that. No matter what, the answer is always honesty. Integrity, though sometimes costly, ultimately wins. The problem is not always so simple, and neither is the solution. Lies are ugly and in the end will always be exposed as such so why even start.
If by "appearance" you mean what people say and do then yes, it can be dangerous. Especially if you have a knee jerk reaction and base your judgment on a single instance. However, if this "appearance" (lying) is carried out on a consistent basis by the same person/persons then the danger subsides and you're left with an habitual liar that can't be trusted.
