Do you think animal abusers should suffer the same penalties as child abusers?

I understand the difference between children and animals. However, both are innocents that need our protection.

    Yes.  Makes no difference to me.  Abuse is abuse.  Children and animals can't defend themselves against an abuser and need to have the same rights of protection under the law IMO.

    To a degree, yes.  A person who abuses an animal is more likely to abuse a person (child or adult) than a person who doesn't.

    I think they should. If they're abusing animals then they'd have no problem abusing human beings.
