When "your guy" ia caught dead-to-rights telling a huge lie does it bother YOU at all or only when it is the "other guy"? Why?

So all lying told by your side are niftily hunky dorry and all lies told by the "other" side are evil and awful and dangerous and unconscionable and must be punished to the death if need be? Why do you believe your guys' lies are okey dokey and the other guys' lies aren't? S'plain yourself Lucy!  That makes no sense at all! :)
