Whats the little box for on the right of the screen that has your name? Its above the notification box. What is it for?

answerMug was built on a cloud platform that has serious limitations. We can't change the backend of the site. We can only put codes on top of it. Most of the stuff you see in the black bar at the top is actually coded to go in the box below your name, but it's ugly there and it takes up space. So, we added aftermarket code to move the stuff from the box to the bar. Yet another reason why the upcoming answerMug remodel is awesome. The site is custom-made for us with the features we need and the ability to modify anything we want at the source.
