    I question that as well.  These days you can't even buy a loaf of bread without being asked to "rate" your experience - all of which to me is just silly.

    Every single time we buy anything you see on the register tape a website to contact to answer a survey to tell them how swell or crappy they are doing. I mean it's everywhere! Thank you for your reply officegirl and Happy Sunday! :) Here comes a question about it!

    We have to keep the pollsters working. They constantly do approval ratings, "is the country going in the right direction", economic outlook etc.

    How does it CHANGE anything?  Do these folks actually CHANGE their core principles/goals/values to get approval ratings higher? That seems very superifically silly to me. Thank you for your reply and Happy Sunday to thee m2c! :)
