Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» Y'all do realize that when WHITE precedes the name of a group they are racists don'tcha? Otherwise why would WHITE be necessary?
Seriously JakobA? A club of people who own WHITE Ford Cars? Well I suppose anything is possible. I think that is a stretch and avoids the point of the question completely. Your choice. Thank you for your reply.
Well it is a symbol of PURITY so brides wear white. In the olden days the white hats were the good guys and the black hats were the bad guys in the movies. Also when it pertains to the color of one's skin and is celebrated as being SUPERIOR to or BETTER THAN people can be killed because of it. I don't know how many whites have been lynched. Lots of blacks were. Did I answer your 2 questions patch? Happy Monday.
Apologies daddy s but what is kms? Kill myself? Condolences. So thanks for showing up and Happy Monday. Hang in there. Life gets better as you get older.
black caucus black panthers black lives matter black alliance for just immigration black girls code black youth project black women's blueprint black organizers for leaders and dignity black women's justice institute
And then there are Mens Magazines and Womens Magazines :-))
Off course, as a liberal I condemn both; but not for Racism. Instead I liberally condemn both for their strong tendency to support and promote cultural stereotypes such as "the inferiority of women" and "overboard romanticism"

I was never a "fan" of women's magazines. I did love and still do those that were about recipes. There are stereotypes on both sides of the gender coin that are unfair. The problem is all the power resides on the side of the male. Or has until perhaps now? We shall see. I never was interested in a "girl's night out" either. I always preferred to be with my guy. My sis and I once went to a bridal shower where male strippers were the "entertainment". We left. Not our cuppa tea. The gals there were going nutsy crazy stuffing money inside their 'pants'. No one noticed our departure. We just looked at each and without a word got up and left. Different strokes! SIGH. Thank you for your reply JakobA and Happy Monday! :)
Mice examples, but then again I think the 'white' in "Average White Band" was kind of inverse racism, a "We can do it too" comment on the Black predominance in R&B and Soul at the time.
There's a couple of explanations for the name of that group of musical Scotsmen floating around but I hadn't heard any that were racist, or anti-racist. More like comparing them to "average white guys" and that they might be better than the "average".
