Hard to say but if I had to choose, it'd be Coco Chanel; 'cuz way back when, she got women out of those awful constricting dress styles, and gave ladies freedom to MOVE inside their clothes.
she was waaaaaaaay ahead of her time, bless her heart!!
she came from a very humble background and just did what she thought women would like, and she succeeded!! and how!!
the 'little black dress' that's such a fashion staple after all these years? it came about when one of her lovers was killed in a car crash...she said tht she was in mourning, and she wanted the 'whole world to be in mourning, thus the dress.............welllllllll it caught on and we still, kind of have it around today.......a fashion staple!!
